toggle How have The People’s hostels changed the youth hostel experience?

Our hostels are hybrids between youth hostels and boutique hotels, with a few (or many!) extras. We’ve chosen our locations to be closer to neighbourhood life. We offer an array of services and living spaces for all of our guests, such as a “chill-out” room, a bar, a restaurant (depending on the hostel), co-working areas and sometimes a kitchen. You can also choose a private or shared room (a modern take on a dormitory) depending on whether you’re alone, with friends, or part of a group.

toggle Can I book a shared room with my minor child?

For the well-being and safety of all our guests, reservations and access to shared dormitories are prohibited to minors, even accompanied by a legal officer.

toggle What payment methods do you accept?

We accept cash or credit/debit card payments. If you prefer to pay in cash upon your arrival at the hostel, we will still need to use your credit card for a transaction receipt (you’ll be asked to show ID).

toggle What time can I check in? If I arrive earlier, can you look after my suitcase?

Check-in opens at 3pm or 4pm depending on the hostel, unless you’ve specifically booked with an earlier arrival time. If you’d like to leave your luggage, a luggage room is available in each of our hostels so that you can explore the neighbourhood or the city while we finish getting your room ready.

toggle Can I cancel my booking? What is your cancellation policy?

Cancellation terms are linked to specific rates. If the rate you booked does not allow for changes or cancellation, you will not be able to ask for a refund. If the chosen rate allows cancellation, you can cancel your booking via your account on our website or by emailing your hostel.
