Want to leave the energy of the city behind for a real nature break? Head for the Bois de Vincennes! This giant park near the ho(s)tel is perfect for strolling, picnicking or cycling. You can even take a boat ride on the lake. You’d almost forget you were in the capital!
TRAVEL TIME
With its forecourt lined with Parisian troquets and its clock resembling Big Ben, the Gare de Lyon is a monument to history in its own right. If you’re not going there to catch a train (the station is only a 20-minute walk from Place de la Nation), you can still treat your taste buds by booking a delicious gourmet meal at the famous Le Train Bleu restaurant. All aboard!

Or take metro line 1, direction “Château de Vincennes” and get off at Nation.
Or RER A or line 9.
Take RER B, direction “Paris”, to “Denfert Rochereau”, then change to metro line 6, “Nation”, and get off at Nation.
